Caring for Invisible Wounds: A Path of Safety and Compassion
Traumas are not just difficult events — they are experiences that, when experienced intensely and without the necessary support, can lodge themselves in the body, thoughts and emotions , affecting our way of being in the world.
Often, symptoms such as anxiety, depression, irritability, insomnia, difficulty in relationships or a constant feeling of alertness are reflections of unprocessed experiences , which continue to impact life even long after they have occurred.
Trauma-informed therapy provides a safe space to rebuild a sense of safety , access difficult memories with warmth and care, and restore connection to your body, history, and inner resources.
You don’t have to “relive” your pain to heal — you can integrate your experiences compassionately , in your own time, and within your own boundaries. My approach combines techniques from traditional psychology with evidence-based practices.
People usually come to me when they feel they want to:
-
Understand why certain emotional triggers keep recurring in your life
-
Dealing with symptoms such as anxiety, insomnia, panic attacks, deep sadness or feelings of disconnection
-
Caring for emotional wounds related to violence, loss, abandonment, abuse or neglect
-
Working through difficult memories that still cause pain, guilt, or shame
-
Regain a sense of inner security and trust in themselves and others again
-
Recovering the connection with your own body, with the present and with the pleasure of living
-
Break patterns of self-sabotage, abusive relationships or emotional dependence
-
Understanding and processing childhood trauma (even when there are not very clear memories)
-
Prepare or integrate experiences with psychedelics , in therapeutic or spiritual contexts
-
Build a more compassionate narrative about your own story and strengthen your identity
