Couples Therapy

More than solving problems, finding yourself again...

Couples therapy is a space for listening, presence and reconnection.
A place where the couple can breathe, talk more calmly and look more clearly at what is happening between them. Throughout the process, we will understand the patterns that repeat themselves , the pain points, the emotional wounds that still hurt — and also the possible ways to rebuild the bond with more awareness, empathy and truth.

More than “solving problems”, the proposal is to create a real meeting space, where everyone can express themselves and listen to each other with respect for the differences and the history they share.

I have extensive experience in supporting intercultural couples , especially those who live outside their countries of origin and face the challenges of immigration, cultural differences and emotional adaptation.

Therapy is not about “saving” a relationship at any cost — it’s about making room for more conscious choices . In some cases, this means finding yourself in a new way. In others, it means making sure the end happens with less pain and more dignity.

 

Some issues that can be worked on in couples therapy:

 

✔️ Communication difficulties – Improve listening, express feelings and needs assertively.
✔️ Recurring conflicts – Identify patterns of fighting and develop strategies for healthy resolution.
✔️ Crises of trust and infidelity – Working through the impact of betrayal and rebuilding security in the relationship.
✔️ Emotional intimacy and sexuality – Explore difficulties in the couple’s emotional connection and sexual life.
✔️ Jealousy and insecurity – Understand their roots and develop mutual trust, identify relationships with emotional dependence.
✔️ Impact of individual traumas on the relationship – Understand how past experiences affect the couple’s dynamics.
✔️ Making important decisions – Dealing with changes such as marriage, children, moving to another country or separation.
✔️ Divorce and co-parenting – Assistance in the transition and building a healthy relationship after separation.
✔️ Differences in raising children – Align values and strategies for more balanced parenting.
✔️ Routine and wear and tear in the relationship – Restore the connection and bring more presence to the relationship.
